Dessert Dweller

It’s harder to do a portrait of a friend, someone I really know, because I already have an impression of how that person is. It’s difficult to bring out a different character. I find myself limited but then that’s the challenge for me.

This photo has been pending for days now and the inspiration only sparked this afternoon. It has always been there when I took this photo weeks ago, but it took awhile for me to be able to translate what I really want for it.

The thrill for me about making portraits of my friends is when I bring them to my world. The thrill for them is when they see themselves in character.
